What is FileFlip.no?
FileFlip.no is a free collection of PDF and file conversion tools that run entirely inside your web browser. We offer eight tools covering the most common PDF tasks: converting to and from Word documents, extracting images, merging and splitting files, compressing, and extracting text.
Unlike most online file tools, FileFlip.no never sends your files to a server. Every conversion, every extraction, every compression — all of it runs using JavaScript directly on your device. Your documents stay on your device from start to finish.
Our Privacy Commitment
Your files are 100% private. When you upload a PDF or image to any FileFlip.no tool, the file is loaded directly into your browser's memory. It is never transmitted over the internet to any server, never stored in any database, and never seen by anyone — not even us.
This is not just a privacy policy statement — it is a technical reality. The tool code has no upload functionality built into it. There is no server to receive files because none exists. Once you close the tab, even the temporary browser memory is cleared automatically.
We do use standard anonymous analytics (page view counts only) to understand which tools are most useful, so we can focus improvements. We do not track individual users or link analytics to any personal identity.
Why Is It Free?
FileFlip.no is supported by non-intrusive advertising through Google AdSense. Ads appear in fixed positions on each page — above the tool, below the options panel, and below the download button. They are never full-screen, never pop-ups, and never interrupt you while you're working.
The advertising revenue allows us to keep every tool completely free with no file size limits, no account requirements, and no watermarks on any output. We believe access to professional-quality file tools should not require a subscription.
Who Built This?
FileFlip.no is an independent project built by developers who were frustrated with the existing landscape of online PDF tools — most of which either require a paid subscription, force you to create an account, upload sensitive documents to unknown servers, or bombard you with intrusive ads and pop-ups before you can do anything useful.
We set out to build the tool we wanted to use ourselves: fast, clean, completely private, and free. The result is FileFlip.no. We hope you find it as useful as we do.
