At FileFlip.no, privacy is not an afterthought — it is a core design principle. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We have written it in plain language, not legal boilerplate.

1. Information We Collect

We collect very little information about visitors to FileFlip.no.

Anonymous analytics

We use standard web analytics to measure how many people visit each page and which tools are most popular. This data is aggregated and anonymous — we cannot identify individual users from it. It includes general information such as page views, approximate country of origin (not precise location), browser type, and device type. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifying information.

Contact form submissions

If you contact us via the contact page, we receive the information you choose to provide: your name, email address, the subject, and your message. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect: account credentials (there are no accounts), payment information (the service is free), or — most importantly — your files. Your documents, images, and PDFs are never uploaded to our servers because we do not have file-processing servers.

2. Your Files

Your files are never uploaded to any server. Ever.

Every tool on FileFlip.no processes files entirely within your web browser using JavaScript. When you select a PDF or image file, it is loaded directly into your browser's temporary memory (RAM). The conversion, extraction, compression, or merging runs using JavaScript code that executes locally on your device. The resulting output file is generated in your browser and downloaded directly to your device.

At no point during this process does any file data travel over the internet. We have no file-upload endpoints, no storage buckets, and no processing servers. This is a technical fact, not merely a policy promise. Even if we wanted to access your files, our infrastructure makes it impossible.

When you close the browser tab, all temporary file data stored in memory is cleared by your browser automatically.

3. Cookies and Google AdSense

FileFlip.no is supported by advertising revenue through Google AdSense. When you visit pages that display ads, Google's advertising technology uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to show you relevant advertisements based on your browsing history and interests. This is controlled by Google, not by us.
